March 12, 2024

Athletes swam, biked, and ran their way to the finish line at Palatine Park District’s “Tri Your Luck!” Indoor Triathlon Sunday, March 10. The event was held at Harper College in Palatine, where Palatine Park District manages indoor pool operations and aquatic, dance, fitness, and sports programing. Event sponsors included Dick Pond, PT Solutions, and The Harbour Family Services.

According to Recreation and Fitness Coordinator Alison Shariatzadeh, the Triathlon was a success. “I could not be happier with how amazing Tri Your Luck! Triathlon went this year,” Shariatzadeh said. “This is the fifth year we have run the event, and this was the first year we had a full house!  Several participants returned from previous years, and it is always nice to see familiar faces,” she added.

Participant feedback was positive with comments such as the triathlon being a “good motivator for a healthy lifestyle, well-coordinated event, and top-notch facilities”.
