Welcome to the 2025 Sounds of Summer Homepage!

The complete summer includes Main Stage Concerts on Friday nights, Family Picnic Series on Tuesdays at noon, Palatine Concert Band Shows, and Outdoor Movie Nights – all at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater! Also featured is the Thursday Night Acoustic Series at Towne Square. All performances are free, so pack a picnic, pull up a lawn chair, and enjoy your summer music experience!

In the event of inclement weather, performances will be canceled. Subscribe to ‘Sounds of Summer Concerts’ notifications using the our scheduling / weather platform or call the concert weather hotline at 224-219-0007 ext.16 for the latest updates.

Concessions will be available for purchase at the Family Aquatic Center. Guests may also pack and bring their own food and beverages. Guests are responsible for their own trash. Additional trash containers will be located around the amphitheater.

Tuesday Family Picnic Series Line-Up

June 17 – ScribbleMonster

  • ScribbleMonster performs music for kids and families – across the Chicagoland area and well beyond – in the form of musical playdates. Jim Dague is the songwriter and leader of the ScribbleMonster band. Jim sings and plays guitar – he has 12 different colors to chose from!

July 8 – Jason Kollum

  • Jason Kollum is a juggler, stilt-walker and balloon artist who performs shows that are completely interactive, high-energy, with lots of laughs, along with TONS of audience participation!  Everyone gets involved! Features huge balancing and juggling stunts, cool skills with spinning balls, frisbees and a huge variety of interactive skills!

July 22 – Todd Downing: Tall Tales and Silly Songs

  • Everyone loves those tall tales!  Todd tells some real whoppers and then weaves them into lively songs!  Todd is a sure bet to have kids and parents moving and grooving, laughing all the way! His show is great for small group settings as well as larger concert arenas and is perfect for children ages 2-10 and their families.

August 5 – Little Miss Ann

  • Little Miss Ann is a Chicago-based, Filipina-American, nationally touring kids musician who has made 7 award-winning Family Music albums. She is also a former Chicago Public School teacher, an instructor at Chicago’s iconic Old Town School of Folk Music, a social justice activist, and a first generation Filipina American. Whether Ann is singing about Ube, a Filipino purple yam, or about Spring, her musical themes will inspire kids to let their own light shine in their own families as well as in their communities!
